(WNY News Now) – Perrysburg, NY — A reckless driving incident on Peck Hill Road has led to serious charges against a young driver and raised alarms about child safety.
On September 22, 2024, at approximately 7:39 PM, a Cattaraugus County Sheriff deputy witnessed a vehicle performing donuts and burnouts in the middle of the road. The driver, identified as 20-year-old Matthew Loretto of Forestville, was stopped and found to have two juvenile passengers in the vehicle.
Loretto was arrested on multiple charges, including two counts of Reckless Endangerment and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, along with Reckless Driving and numerous vehicle and traffic violations. After being processed at the Cattaraugus County Sheriff Office, he was released on an appearance ticket and several traffic citations. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
