(WNY News Now) – Syracuse – A 24-year-old woman is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following a motor vehicle collision with a pedestrian on Glenwood Avenue.

On Sunday, September 22, 2024, at approximately 8:00 P.M., Syracuse police responded to a serious motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Glenwood Avenue and Elmwood Avenue. Upon their arrival, officers found a 24-year-old female victim lying in the roadway after being struck by a vehicle.

Emergency medical personnel quickly transported the victim to Upstate Hospital, where she is currently being treated for life-threatening injuries. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear, as the investigation is ongoing.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the collision remained at the scene and is cooperating with the authorities. Police are urging anyone with additional information to contact the Syracuse Police Department Traffic Section at (315) 442-5130.
