(WNY News Now) – Jamestown – A domestic dispute turned violent in the early hours of Tuesday, resulting in the arrest of a Jamestown man on assault and theft charges.
On September 24, 2024, at approximately 2:10 AM, Jamestown Police Department officers responded to a domestic dispute at an east-side residence. By the time officers arrived, the suspect, identified as 39-year-old Shyron A. Campbell of Jamestown, had already fled the scene.
After speaking with the victim, officers learned that Campbell had allegedly struck the victim in the stomach and shoved them into a door frame during an argument. In addition to the physical altercation, Campbell reportedly stole the victim’s wallet from a table, which contained several credit cards.
As officers were speaking with the victim, Campbell returned to the scene, driving a vehicle with a suspended license. He was immediately taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
Campbell faces multiple charges, including Assault in the 3rd Degree, Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, Petit Larceny, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree. He is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
