(WNY News Now) – A late-night crash leaves one person critically injured after a vehicle veered off the road and struck a pole on North Salina Street in Syracuse.
Syracuse, N.Y. – In the early hours of Friday, October 11th, Syracuse Police responded to a serious vehicle collision in the 500 block of North Salina Street. The incident occurred around 12:23 a.m. when a gray SUV veered off the road and crashed into a light pole, causing significant damage to the vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers found two occupants inside the SUV. Both were immediately transported to Upstate University Hospital for treatment. The driver, who has not been identified, remains in critical condition. Meanwhile, the passenger is listed as being in stable condition, according to hospital reports.
Syracuse Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. At this time, it is unclear what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway.
