(WNY News Now) – A routine street check on the south side of Jamestown led to the arrest of a local man wanted on an outstanding bench warrant and found in possession of fentanyl.

Jamestown, N.Y. – On October 12, 2024, at approximately 6:21 p.m., officers from Jamestown’s Second Platoon were conducting routine patrols on the city’s south side when they encountered Wade S. Pfleuger, a 43-year-old resident. Pfleuger was known to officers as having an outstanding bench warrant issued by Jamestown City Court.

Without incident, the officers arrested Pfleuger, who was then searched according to standard arrest procedure. During the search, officers discovered a quantity of fentanyl in Pfleuger’s possession. As a result, he faces additional charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree.

Pfleuger was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he remains held pending arraignment for both the bench warrant and the drug possession charge. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
