Kayla Crosby, the visionary founder of #IntegrityFirst, Inc. and the Jamestown Jackals, has officially resigned from her position at Jamestown Community College (JCC) as of August 9, 2024. After several years of serving the college and community, Crosby has made the decision to dedicate her full attention to her nonprofit organization and the professional basketball team, which will soon begin their inaugural season in the prestigious Basketball Super League (BSL) this November.

Crosby’s passion for community development, mentoring youth, and fostering integrity-driven leadership has been the driving force behind her nonprofit, #IntegrityFirst, Inc. This organization, which owns and operates the Jamestown Jackals, has created numerous initiatives that positively impact local youth, empower professional athletes to become mentors, and promote community engagement.

“As much as I loved my work at JCC, I felt it was time to fully commit to expanding the reach of #IntegrityFirst, Inc. and preparing the Jamestown Jackals for this exciting new chapter,” Crosby stated. “The opportunity to join the Basketball Super League not only elevates our team’s visibility but also enhances our platform to inspire and uplift the Jamestown community.”

The Jamestown Jackals, entering the BSL with a fresh set of ambitions, will compete in an international league featuring the majority of its teams based in Canada along with a few American teams. With 14 home games planned, the team is preparing to make an impact both on the court and within the local community.

The Jackals’ commitment to community involvement will continue through programs such as the #BeTheChange mentoring initiative, which brings youth together with professional athletes to provide guidance, support, and leadership development. These efforts will only grow as Crosby shifts her focus to building stronger connections and ensuring the success of both the team and the nonprofit’s mission.

As the Jamestown Jackals prepare for their BSL debut this November, Crosby intends to guide the organization to new heights, creating lasting opportunities for the community, players, and fans alike. For more information, email marketing@jamestownjackals.com or phone (814) 730-0963.
