(WNY News Now) – As cyber threats evolve, businesses must strengthen their defenses—learn how to build a robust Information Security Program in an upcoming webinar.

Jamestown, N.Y. – The Small Business Development Center at JCC presents a virtual training on Cybersecurity: Building an Information Security Program. The webinar will be held Tuesday, October 22 from 11am-12:30pm.

The workshop will discuss how to build an Information Security program that maps to compliance and tracks improvement over time. Examples will be shared using the NIST Cybersecurity Framework v2.0 with HIPAA mapped. It will discuss Information Security (vs. Cybersecurity), Governance, the importance of adequate policies, and other relevant topics.

Presenter Patrick Rost has 13 years of technology and advising experience. In 2023 Patrick founded InfoSecurity Blueprint, LLC to pursue his passion of helping businesses protect their sensitive information and maintain their customers’ trust. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Technology in Network Administration with a minor in Information Security and Assurance from Alfred State College of Technology (SUNY).
