(WNY News Now) – A shooting on Lincoln Avenue in the early hours of Wednesday has left a 28-year-old man injured, prompting an investigation and appeal for public assistance.

Syracuse, N.Y. – On Wednesday, October 16th, 2024, Syracuse police responded to a shooting call at 210 Lincoln Avenue at approximately 1:54 A.M. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered a 28-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the hand.

The victim was quickly transported to Upstate Hospital, where he is expected to make a full recovery. As of now, no further details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting have been released.

The Syracuse Police Department is actively investigating the incident. Authorities are urging anyone with information that could help in identifying the suspect or understanding the events surrounding the shooting to come forward.
