(WNY News Now) – A routine traffic stop in Jamestown uncovers drug possession, leading to the arrest of a Bath man.
Jamestown, N.Y. – In the early morning hours of October 16, 2024, Jamestown Police officers conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of E. 5th St. and American Pl. for multiple traffic violations. The incident, occurring at approximately 2:42 AM, took an unexpected turn when officers discovered the driver, identified as 36-year-old Blake O. Saleh from Bath, NY, in possession of methamphetamine.
Saleh was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He was subsequently charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and issued several traffic tickets for the observed violations.
Under New York State bail reform laws, Saleh was released on an appearance ticket and is expected to appear in Jamestown City Court at a future date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
