(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, N.Y. – The Reg Lenna Center for The Arts invites movie lovers to experience a unique double feature this October. First, on Wednesday, October 23 at 7 p.m., the psychological thriller Cuckoo will keep viewers on the edge of their seats, while the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show promises an unforgettable night of fun and audience participation on Saturday, October 25 at 10 p.m.

In Cuckoo, starring Hunter Schafer and Dan Stevens, 17-year-old Gretchen reluctantly relocates to the German Alps to live with her father and his new family. What begins as a tranquil vacation quickly spirals into a chilling mystery as Gretchen uncovers disturbing secrets. Haunted by eerie visions and strange occurrences, she must navigate her new reality. Rated R for its intense themes, Cuckoo runs for 102 minutes.

Two days later, moviegoers can celebrate the 49th anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, a timeless cult favorite starring Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, and Barry Bostwick. The film follows a stranded couple, Brad and Janet, as they stumble into the bizarre world of Dr. Frank-N-Furter. Known for its iconic rock musical numbers and outrageous characters, The Rocky Horror Picture Show is more than just a film—it’s an interactive experience. Audience participation is encouraged, and Prop Fun Packs will be available for purchase, adding to the film’s legendary midnight screenings. As always, costumes are welcome (but leave the squirt guns at home). This R-rated film runs for 101 minutes.

In addition to these two showings, The Reg will host a series of exciting films in the coming weeks, including Beetlejuice (October 30), Between the Temples (November 6), and Lee (November 13). A special engagement of Cat Video Fest 2024 will take place on November 16, with proceeds benefiting the Chautauqua County Humane Society.

Tickets for most films are $8 at the box office and $10 online or by phone. Family-friendly showings are priced at $7 in person and $9 online. Special engagements may vary. The theater is located at 116 E. 3rd St., Jamestown, NY, with box office hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12–5 p.m., and one hour before showtime.
