(WNY News Now) – A warrant arrest in Ashford, NY, results in a Buffalo man being taken into custody.

On October 18, 2024, at approximately 12:58 PM, deputies from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office executed an arrest warrant at 5479 Twitchell Road, Ashford, NY. The warrant was for Jessie A. Currie, 36, of Buffalo, who was wanted on charges of resisting arrest. Sheriff Eric A. Butler confirmed the arrest in an official report.

Currie was transported to the Cattaraugus County Court for arraignment before Judge Brenda L. Denk. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. No bail was set during the arraignment. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
