(WNY News Now) – A routine traffic stop in Little Valley resulted in the arrest of a man wanted on an outstanding warrant from the Town of Hamburg.

Little Valley, N.Y. – Sheriff Eric A. Butler reported the arrest of 52-year-old Lawrence J. Strozewski Jr. on October 8, 2024, following a traffic stop in the Village of Little Valley. Deputies initiated the stop after noticing a vehicle traveling at an excessive speed at approximately 11:00 AM. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that Strozewski had an active arrest warrant issued out of the Town of Hamburg.

After placing Strozewski in custody, deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and found a glass pipe containing drug residue. He was subsequently charged with Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree (PL 220.50) and given an appearance ticket for the Town of Little Valley Court.

Following processing, Strozewski was transferred to the Hamburg Police Department to address the outstanding warrant. He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
