(WNY News Now) – Gowanda, NY – A domestic dispute resulted in the arrest of a local woman on October 20, 2024.

At approximately 4:35 PM, deputies were dispatched to College St. in Gowanda following reports of a woman stealing property from her brother. Upon arrival, the investigation revealed that Patricia E. Lewellyn, 29, was involved in a physical altercation during the incident, where she allegedly shoved her mother.

As a result, Lewellyn was arrested and charged with harassment under New York Penal Law 240.26(1). Following her arrest, she was arraigned at the Town of Persia Court, where she was released on her own recognizance. Lewellyn is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
