(WNY News Now) – A 23-year-old Great Valley resident faces multiple felony charges after a grand larceny investigation by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.

On October 20, 2024, Jacob A. Perkins, 23, of Great Valley, New York, was arrested and charged with two counts of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree and one count of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree. The arrest followed a felony investigation led by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to Humphrey Road in Great Valley, where Perkins was apprehended. After being transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, Perkins was processed and released with an appearance ticket for an upcoming court arraignment in the Town of Great Valley.

The charges stem from incidents where Perkins allegedly stole property exceeding $1,000 in value. The investigation remains ongoing, and further details about the nature of the stolen property have not yet been released.

Perkins will appear in the Great Valley Town Court at a later date to answer the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
