(WNY News Now) – Cattaraugus, NY — A trespassing incident resulted in the arrest of a local man on October 21, 2024. Sheriff Eric A. Butler reported that Benjamin G. Meyer, 39, of 23 N. Franklin St., was apprehended following a complaint from his neighbor.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies had previously warned Meyer that he was not authorized to enter the neighbor’s property. Despite this warning, he allegedly returned to the premises, leading to the neighbor’s complaint and subsequent investigation.

Deputy A. Olszewski was the primary investigator in the case. Meyer was charged with trespassing under New York Penal Law 140.05 and has been released on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of New Albion Court at a later date.
