(WNY News Now) – An Arcade resident was apprehended on a bench warrant this week by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, leading to an arraignment on various vehicle and traffic charges and a pending court appearance.
Arcade, N.Y. – On October 25, 2024, Erie County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 38-year-old Brian R. Bleau of Arcade, New York, on a bench warrant issued by Cattaraugus County Court. Bleau was taken into custody at the Erie County Holding Center and subsequently transferred to Cattaraugus County authorities.
Bleau faced arraignment in Ashford Town Court on multiple vehicle and traffic law (VTL) charges, including violations under VTL 375 40(B), VTL 1198 7(A), and VTL 511 2(A)3. The presiding Judge Hebdon released Bleau on his own recognizance following the hearing, with a scheduled court date of November 21, 2024, for further proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
