(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown woman faces multiple felony charges following a burglary in the Town of Ellicott, where food, a laptop, and vehicle keys were stolen.
Ellicott, N.Y. – The Town of Ellicott Police have charged 36-year-old Bryanne C. Childers of Jamestown with second-degree burglary, two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in connection with an incident reported on November 16.
According to police, officers responded to a residence for a past burglary report. Investigators allege that Childers unlawfully entered the home, taking food, a laptop computer, and keys to the homeowner’s vehicle before leaving the scene.
Authorities quickly located Childers, leading to her arrest. She was taken into custody without incident and later transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
