(WNY News Now) – A late-night call about a suspicious vehicle in Mayville resulted in the arrest of a Dunkirk man on felony drug charges.
MAYVILLE, NY – On Monday, November 18, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle report outside a residence on Valley Street in Mayville. Upon arrival, deputies identified 43-year-old Andrew K. Studley of Dunkirk, New York, as an occupant of the vehicle.
Further investigation revealed that Studley was in possession of a quantity of fentanyl. He was taken into custody and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a felony under New York State law.
Studley was transported to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for processing before being booked into the county jail. He is awaiting centralized arraignment at the Chautauqua Town Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
