(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY – A late-night street check by Jamestown police led to the arrest of a 28-year-old woman on multiple charges, including resisting arrest and outstanding warrants.
In the early hours of November 25, 2024, at approximately 4:17 a.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department observed a woman riding a bicycle on the sidewalk near the intersection of E. 2nd Street and Charlotte Avenue, a violation of city ordinances. When officers attempted to stop her, the woman refused to comply, prompting a brief half-mile pursuit that ended at the dead end of Stafford Street.
The individual, identified as Lisa M. Tucker, was determined to be homeless and had multiple outstanding bench warrants issued by Jamestown City Court. She was taken into custody and transported to the city jail, where she is currently being held pending arraignment.
Tucker faces charges of Resisting Arrest, Riding a Bicycle on a City Sidewalk, and various traffic infractions. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
