(WNY News Now) – Jamestown police apprehended a two-time convicted felon on the city’s west side, uncovering firearms and domestic violence charges in a late-night investigation.
Jamestown, N.Y. – On December 2, 2024, at approximately 11:05 p.m., Jamestown Police Department officers responded to a residence on the city’s west side to locate Johnny P. Wynn Sr., 51, of Jamestown. Wynn was wanted in connection with domestic-related charges stemming from an earlier incident.
Upon arrival, officers apprehended Wynn without incident. A subsequent investigation at the scene revealed the presence of a handgun and a rifle. Authorities confirmed that Wynn, a two-time convicted felon, is legally prohibited from possessing firearms.
Wynn now faces multiple charges, including Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second, Third, and Fourth Degrees and Strangulation in the Second Degree. He was taken into custody and is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
