(WNY News Now) – A Syracuse man arrived at Upstate University Hospital early Saturday morning with multiple gunshot wounds, sparking an active police investigation.
SYRACUSE, NY — A shooting incident on Syracuse Street sent a 34-year-old man to the hospital in the early hours of Saturday, December 14, 2024. Syracuse Police responded to Upstate University Hospital at approximately 1:41 a.m. after receiving reports of a male gunshot victim who had been transported there in a private vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers located the victim in the emergency room, where he was receiving treatment for multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
Preliminary investigations suggest the shooting occurred in the 100 block of Syracuse Street. Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Syracuse Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 442-5222.
