(WNY News Now) – A 21-year-old man is recovering after being shot in Syracuse late Sunday evening; police are urging the public to come forward with any information.
On Sunday, December 15th, 2024, at approximately 9:49 P.M., Syracuse Police responded to the 300 block of Mains Avenue following reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers discovered evidence of gunfire, including multiple shell casings at the scene.
A short time later, a 21-year-old male arrived at Upstate Hospital by private transport with a gunshot wound to his arm. Authorities have stated that the victim’s injuries are not life-threatening, and he is expected to survive.
The investigation is ongoing, and the Syracuse Police Department is asking anyone with information to contact the Criminal Investigations Division at (315) 442-5222.
