(WNY News Now) – Buffalo police officers recovered a loaded ghost gun and additional ammunition during a traffic stop, leading to three arrests and multiple felony charges.
BUFFALO, NY — Three individuals are facing weapons-related charges after Buffalo Police Department officers recovered a loaded AR-style ghost gun with a drum magazine and additional ammunition during a Saturday night traffic stop.
At approximately 8:15 p.m. on December 14, E District officers initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Olympic and E Delavan Avenues. Officers observed burning marijuana and an open bottle of alcohol in plain view inside the vehicle. Upon further investigation, a loaded ghost gun pistol with 24 rounds in a drum magazine, along with additional ammunition, was seized.
The occupants—Marquise Williams, 21, of Niagara Falls; Joshiatu Mansaray, 21, of Buffalo; and Jaki Boling, 21, of Buffalo—were arrested at the scene. All three were charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree (NYS PL 265.03-3, a class C felony)
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree (NYS PL 265.02-8, a class D felony)
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree (NYS PL 265.01-9, a class A misdemeanor)
Mansaray faces additional charges for Drinking Alcohol or Using Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle (VTL 1227-1) and Inadequate Lighting Equipment (VTL 375-2A1).
Boling is also charged with offenses related to a prior incident on July 4, 2024, when officers recovered a loaded Smith & Wesson .38 Special revolver and a loaded Polymer 80 ghost gun on Newburgh Avenue in Buffalo.
As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
