LOCKPORT, NY — Gregory Noonan, 25, of Niagara Falls, has pleaded guilty in Niagara County Court to two counts of Attempted Rape in the First Degree. The charges stem from allegations that Noonan sexually assaulted two different victims in Niagara Falls, with incidents occurring in 2021 and 2022.
The announcement was made by Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman, who stated, “The defendant faces up to 20 years in prison and 15 years post-release supervision. On behalf of the victims of these crimes, we will be asking the judge to impose that maximum sentence.”
The Niagara Falls Police Department conducted a thorough investigation into the assaults, which led to Noonan’s indictment and eventual guilty plea. The case was prosecuted by Heather Nicholson, Chief of the Special Victims Unit Bureau.
