(WNY News Now) – A shoplifting complaint in the Town of Ellicott has led to a petit larceny charge against a Randolph resident.

The Town of Ellicott Police Department announced that Ginger L. Lecceardone, 58, of Randolph, NY, has been charged with petit larceny following a shoplifting incident earlier this week.

According to the police report, officers responded to a shoplifting complaint on December 13, 2024. Investigations revealed that Lecceardone allegedly took items from a local store on December 11 without paying.

Lecceardone was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court on a future date to answer to the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
