(WNY News Now) – A late-night 911 hang-up led police to a Persia residence, where they uncovered a domestic incident resulting in charges against a 25-year-old man.

PERSIA, NY – Sheriff Eric A. Butler has reported the arrest of Brandon Tackentien, 25, following a domestic incident at his home on Route 353 late Monday night.

Police responded to a 911 call at 11:58 p.m. on December 9, 2024, after the line disconnected with the sound of screaming in the background. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a distressed female caller and ensured the safety of her and her seven-week-old son, removing them from the residence.

Tackentien has been charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, Reckless Endangerment in the Second Degree, and Menacing in the Second Degree.

Tackentien was taken into custody, processed, and later arraigned in the Town of Persia Court. An Order of Protection was issued for the victim and her infant son. Tackentien is scheduled to return to court at a later date.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
