(WNY News Now) – Ellicottville police, with support from local law enforcement, apprehended three suspects in connection to a reported burglary at the Tamarack Club of Holiday Valley.
ELLICOTTVILLE, NY — The Ellicottville Police Department announced the arrest of three individuals following a burglary investigation at the Tamarack Club of Holiday Valley on Saturday, December 21, 2024. Responding to an initial report of larceny around 6:00 p.m., officers identified and apprehended three male suspects who now face multiple felony charges.
John Oyler, 50, of Little Valley, was charged with Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree.
Michael Havers, 56, of Salamanca, faces charges of Burglary in the Third Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree.
Darby Monahan, 46, also of Salamanca, was charged with Burglary in the Third Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree.
Following their arraignment in the Town of Ellicottville Court, Oyler was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail, while Havers and Monahan were released and scheduled to reappear in court at a later date.
The Ellicottville Police Department expressed gratitude to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office and the Salamanca Police Department for their collaborative efforts in the case.
As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
