(WNY News Now) – Authorities in Jamestown executed a search warrant leading to the arrest of a 39-year-old resident on multiple narcotics-related charges, uncovering significant quantities of illegal substances and paraphernalia.

On January 8, 2025, at approximately 3:47 PM, members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators carried out a search warrant at a lower rear apartment located at 567 Falconer Street. Simultaneously, a traffic stop was conducted by Jamestown Police Department road patrol on East 2nd Street near Cowing Street, where the suspect, Rose E. Raynor, was taken into custody without incident.

During the investigation, authorities recovered 157.4 grams of methamphetamine, 10.6 grams of fentanyl, and a small amount of cocaine from Raynor. Inside the residence, detectives located digital scales, packaging materials, and cutting agents, all commonly associated with drug distribution.

Raynor, a Jamestown resident, faces multiple charges, including:

  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, 2nd Degree
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, 3rd Degree (2 counts)
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, 7th Degree (2 counts)
  • Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia, 2nd Degree (3 counts)

The Jamestown Police Department reported that a male individual was present at the residence but was released from the scene after questioning.

Raynor is currently held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
