(WNY News Now) – This January, The Reg Lenna Center for The Arts brings powerful storytelling to the screen, featuring captivating films like Here and Conclave, offering something for every moviegoer.
Here (Wed., Jan. 15 at 7 p.m.) is an original film about multiple families and a special place they inhabit. The story travels through generations, capturing the most relatable of human experiences. Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump) directs. Told much in the style of the acclaimed graphic novel by Richard McGuire on which it is based, Tom Hanks and Robin Wright star in a tale of love, loss, laughter and life, all of which happen right Here. The filmis rated PG-13 and is 104 minutes long.
Conclave(Fri., Jan. 17 at 7 p.m.) follows one of the world’s most secretive and ancient events – selecting the new Pope. Cardinal Lawrence (Ralph Fiennes) is tasked with running this covert process after the unexpected death of the beloved Pope. Once the Catholic Church’s most powerful leaders have gathered from around the world and are locked together in the Vatican halls, Lawrence uncovers a trail of deep secrets left in the dead Pope’s wake, secrets which could shake the foundations of the Church. Conclave is rated PG and is 120 minutes long.
