(WNY News Now) – A two-car collision on Route 39 in Perrysburg resulted in one fatality and minor injuries on January 8, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries on Route 39 in Perrysburg, New York, at approximately 10:44 a.m. on January 8, 2025.
An investigation revealed that Larry L. Nagel, who was driving eastbound on the snow-covered roadway, lost control of his vehicle, causing it to cross the center line. Nagel’s vehicle collided with an oncoming westbound vehicle. Tragically, Nagel was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the westbound vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital for treatment.
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Gowanda Ambulance Service and Perrysburg Fire and EMS.
