(WNY News Now) – On Saturday, January 18, 2025, at approximately 4:59 PM, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle fire in the Town of Harmony.
Upon arrival, deputies determined that the vehicle’s operator, Marcus H. Wells, 57, of Harmony, had been driving under the influence before his vehicle became inoperable and caught fire.
The investigation led to Wells’ arrest on charges of stopping, standing, or parking on a highway, driving while intoxicated, and driving while intoxicated per se.
Following his arrest, Wells was processed and released with appearance tickets. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Harmony Court at a later date to address the charges.
