(WNY News Now) – The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Olean man for operating a vehicle with a revoked driver’s license after assisting with a disabled vehicle on Bakerstand Road.

FRANKLINVILLE, NY — The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of Levi T. Ward, 28, of Olean, NY, following an investigation into a disabled vehicle on Bakerstand Road in Franklinville on the evening of January 18, 2025.

Authorities responded to the incident at approximately 7:06 p.m. During the investigation, deputies determined that Ward had been operating another vehicle despite having a revoked driver’s license. Ward was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, a serious offense under New York State law.

Sheriff Eric A. Butler confirmed that Ward was arrested, processed, and released on appearance tickets. He is scheduled to appear in Franklinville Town Court at a later date to address the charges.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
