(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man faces multiple felony drug charges and a bench warrant following a narcotics investigation at a South Side address on January 24, 2025.
Jamestown, N.Y. – Jamestown Police Department officers arrested 26-year-old Dale R. Linkous during a response to a report of an unwanted person at a South Side apartment on January 24 at approximately 3:35 PM.
Upon arrival, officers were informed that Linkous, a Jamestown resident, was no longer welcome at the residence. Officers, who were already aware of an active bench warrant against Linkous from Jamestown City Court, located him inside the apartment, seated on a couch.
While being informed of the warrant, officers observed Linkous attempting to conceal items in a backpack next to him. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
During a subsequent search of Linkous and an inventory of his belongings, officers discovered quantities of fentanyl and crack cocaine, packaged for sale, along with containers of methadone, a controlled substance. Additionally, officers found drug paraphernalia, including digital scales.
As a result, Linkous has been charged with the following offenses:
- Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree (Felony)
- Three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree (Felony)
- Two counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree
Linkous remains in custody at the Jamestown City Jail and is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
