(WNY News Now) – FALCONER, NY – A Chautauqua County man was arrested early Saturday morning on charges of driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop in the Town of Ellicott.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted a traffic stop at approximately 2:24 a.m. on February 1, 2025. The driver, identified as Matthew J. Dinger, 36, of Chautauqua, NY, was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated.

Dinger was taken into custody and charged with failure to use a turn signal, driving while intoxicated (DWI), and DWI Per Se. He was later released with appearance tickets for the Town of Ellicott Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
