(WNY News Now) – POMFRET, NY – A Dunkirk man was arrested early Sunday morning on multiple charges, including driving while intoxicated, following a traffic stop in the Town of Pomfret.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Route 60 at approximately 2:21 a.m. on February 2. The driver, identified as 21-year-old Julian C. Martin of Dunkirk, was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated.

Following an investigation, Martin was charged with DWI, DWI per se, and Speed in Zone. He was taken into custody and is scheduled to appear in Pomfret Town Court at a later date to answer the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
