(WNY News Now) – SHERMAN, N.Y. – A Georgia man was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Sherman on Sunday night.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a crash at approximately 9:48 p.m. on February 2, 2025. The driver, identified as 21-year-old Garrett M. Swan of Trenton, Georgia, was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
Following an investigation, Swan was charged with DWI, DWI Per Se, moving from a lane unsafely, and operating a vehicle with an unsafe tire. He was taken into custody and later released with appearance tickets for the Town of Sherman Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
