(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A routine traffic stop on Jamestown’s west side early Monday led to the arrest of a local man on drug-related charges.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the 3rd Platoon conducted the stop around 2 a.m. on February 3, 2025. During the investigation, police found 21-year-old Kaleb D. Dean in possession of 2.2 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale with suspected drug residue, and small clear plastic bags commonly used for narcotics packaging.

Dean was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. He faces charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and two counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
