(WNY News Now) – SALAMANCA, N.Y. – A 37-year-old man was taken into custody on an arrest warrant Saturday evening, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested Richard Jones III at approximately 6 p.m. on February 2 at a Barrett Drive address in Salamanca. Authorities executed the warrant under Criminal Procedure Law 120.60, which allows law enforcement officers to take individuals into custody on outstanding warrants.
Jones was transported to the Cattaraugus County Jail, where he is being held pending further legal proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
