(WNY News Now) – VILLENOVA, N.Y. — A South Dayton man was arrested on felony DWI charges following a single-vehicle crash in the Town of Villenova on Tuesday night.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accident on Ball Hill Road at approximately 9:26 p.m. on February 4, 2025. Deputies identified the driver as 31-year-old Jesse S. Gens.
Following an investigation, authorities determined that Gens was intoxicated at the time of the crash. He was subsequently arrested and charged with felony driving while intoxicated (DWI), first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, moving from a lane unsafely, and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
Gens is scheduled to appear in Villenova Town Court at a later date to respond to the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
