(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, NY – A 22-year-old Jamestown resident was taken into custody Thursday evening during a warrant check on the city’s south side, authorities reported.

Officers from the Second Platoon were conducting a warrant check around 5:00 p.m. on February 6 when they encountered Dominic L. Canale inside the residence of a protected party. Canale was subject to a valid stay-away order of protection, prompting officers to take him into custody.
