(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – Three Warren residents were arrested following a traffic stop that led to the discovery of methamphetamine and fentanyl, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

On February 13, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop near South Main Street and Arterial for a moving violation. During the investigation, police determined that Daniel R. Zofcin, 30, Ryan M. English, 32, and Katelin D. Smith, 31, were in possession of methamphetamine. Authorities also discovered that Smith provided officers with a false name.

Further searches revealed that English was also in possession of fentanyl. All three individuals were taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

Zofcin was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree. English faces two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, while Smith was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and False Personation.

All three suspects were released on appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
