(WNY News Now) – SALAMANCA, NY – A Salamanca woman was taken into custody on Saturday evening on an active felony bench warrant, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrested Gilbertine M. Halftown, 56, at approximately 6:57 p.m. on February 15, 2025, after locating her at a residence on Washington Street in Salamanca. Authorities confirmed that Halftown had an outstanding felony bench warrant issued by Cattaraugus County Criminal Court.
Following her arrest, Halftown was transported directly to the Cattaraugus County Jail, where she remains in custody pending further court proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
