(WNY News Now) – BROCTON, NY – A Brocton man has been arrested following an investigation into a burglary at a local pizzeria early Wednesday morning.
On February 19, 2025, at approximately 3:50 a.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary at Pizza Guru’s, located at 16 E Main Street in Brocton. Deputies determined that forced entry had been made through the rear door, and the cash register had been damaged, with money stolen from inside.
Investigators located boot impressions leading away from the scene toward the east. Surveillance footage from a nearby business showed a suspect leaving the area and entering a residence. Further investigation led authorities to identify 25-year-old Tyler T. Dalton, of Brocton, as the suspect.
Dalton was charged with third-degree burglary, petit larceny, and two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief. A warrant was issued for his arrest through Portland Court. On February 21, Dalton turned himself in at the Chautauqua County Jail, where he awaits arraignment at Centralized Arraignment Court.
As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
