(WNY News Now) – LITTLE VALLEY, N.Y. – An 18-year-old male inmate at the Cattaraugus County Jail has been charged with additional offenses following an altercation with a corrections officer.
According to Cattaraugus County Sheriff Eric A. Butler, the incident occurred at approximately 5:10 p.m. on February 21, 2025, at the jail located at 301 Court Street, Little Valley. Authorities reported that the inmate allegedly spit on a corrections officer, prompting an investigation.
As a result, the inmate was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Harassment in the Second Degree, and Menacing in the Third Degree. His court appearance is scheduled for a later date.
As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
