(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of an Ashville woman on multiple drug charges late Wednesday night.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers conducted a vehicle stop at approximately 10:20 p.m. on March 5 near Liberty Street and East 8th Street. During the investigation, officers observed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle, prompting a search.

Authorities reported finding various controlled substances, including cocaine, fentanyl, hydrocodone, oxycodone, clonazepam, and 6.2 grams of methamphetamine, along with cutting agents.

The vehicle’s sole occupant, 33-year-old Heather M. Brown, was taken into custody and charged with five counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree.

Brown was transported to Jamestown City Jail, where she is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
