(WNY News Now) – BUFFALO, N.Y. – A Buffalo man has been sentenced to time served and supervised release after being convicted of illegal firearm possession.

Henry Ford, 37, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge John L. Sinatra, Jr. to approximately 11 months of time served and three years of supervised release, U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced. Ford was convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Donna M. Duncan, authorities executed a search warrant in April 2024 on Ford and his residence on Erb Street. Investigators recovered a loaded handgun from his pocket, later determined to be reported stolen from Georgia in 2019. A second firearm and ammunition, also reported stolen from Buffalo in March 2024, were found inside the residence.

Ford was previously convicted of a felony in Erie County Court in 2008, making him legally prohibited from possessing firearms.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), along with the Buffalo Police Department, conducted the investigation. ATF Special Agent-in-Charge Bryan Miller and Buffalo Police Commissioner Alphonso Wright oversaw the case.
