(WNY News Now) – GREAT VALLEY, N.Y. — A Great Valley man was taken into custody on Sunday after authorities discovered he had an active bench warrant issued by New York State Police in Olean.

According to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested Dylon E. Howard, 31, at a Depot St. address in Great Valley at approximately 5:33 p.m. on March 9, 2025. The arrest occurred during an unrelated incident when officers determined that Howard had an outstanding warrant.

Howard was transported to the New York State Police Olean Barracks before being arraigned in Allegany Town Court. Following his court appearance, he was released on his own recognizance. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
