(WNY News Now) – LITTLE VALLEY, NY – An 18-year-old male inmate at the Cattaraugus County Jail faces multiple charges following an incident involving a corrections officer, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities report that on March 12, 2025, at approximately 12:45 p.m., the inmate allegedly spat on a corrections officer. Following an investigation, the individual was charged with menacing in the third degree, harassment in the second degree, and disorderly conduct.

The suspect was initially remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail but was later released with an appearance ticket for the Town of Little Valley Court at a future date.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
