(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Jamestown woman was taken into custody Saturday afternoon following a domestic dispute on the city’s south side.

Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd Platoon responded to a residence at approximately 3:00 p.m. on March 15 for a report of an unwanted person. Upon investigation, police determined that Virginia L. Matteson, 55, had unlawfully entered and remained inside the victim’s residence despite multiple requests for her to leave.

Matteson was arrested and transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where she was charged with Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree. She is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
