(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, NY – A Jamestown woman was arrested Monday night on an outstanding warrant and additional drug-related charges following a warrant check on the city’s south side.
According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers, along with Chautauqua County Probation, conducted a warrant check at a residence on March 17 at approximately 8:46 p.m. Inside, they located 26-year-old Autumn R. Kahm, who had an active arrest warrant issued by Jamestown City Court.
Police say Kahm resisted officers’ commands but was taken into custody after a brief struggle. During the arrest, authorities discovered she was in possession of 13.5 grams of methamphetamine.
Kahm was transported to Jamestown City Jail, where she was charged with Resisting Arrest and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, in addition to the warrant. She is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
